Coronavirus changed the way we greeted each other almost overnight. Gone were the high-fives, handshakes and fist bumps. In with the ‘elbow bump’. 



So in early March 2020, I designed the Elbow Bump Emoji, a way for people to greet one another online like they did in this new pandemic world.

Ironically, the emoji went viral itself. Shared widely as a GIF in text chains, it reached journalists and subsequently became the focus of a feature in Wired.
